The story of my favorite band ´IMAGINE DRAGONS´

Dragons is a musical group originally from the United States that oscillates between the genres of Alternative Rock, Indie Rock and Pop Rock. Today it is made up of Daniel Platzman, on drums; Wayne sermon, on guitar; Ben McKee, on bass; and Dan Reynolds, on vocals; plus Kevin, the imaginary dragon. This is primarily recognized for her debut album Night Visions, from 2012, and for its theme song from one of her It’s Time EPs. The musical beginnings of Imagine Dragons date back to 2008, when Dan Reynolds and Andrew Tolman met at Brigham Young University, where the two were studying. Soon after, they had the idea of ​​forming a band, so they added Andrew Beck, on guitar; Dave Lemke, on bass; and Aurora Florence, at the piano; to form a first group that would be called Ragged insomnia, which is an anagram of its current name. By 2009, the band was already called Imagine Dragons with the intention of having a more commercial name, and it already had musicians Wayne Sermon, Brittany Tolman, and Ben McKee in its formation, without having Dave Lemke who left the group.

 

Thus, already installed in Dan Reynolds' hometown, Las Vegas, and leaving behind several followers they had in Provo, Utah, Imagine Dragons recorded and published the first of their three EPs: Imagine Dragons, Hell and Silence and It's Time, all this before having a contract with a record label. For the same 2009, the band was called to replace the Train group at the Bite of Las Vegas Festival, as its vocalist, Pat Monahan, had fallen ill.

Thus, Imagine Dragons appeared before an audience of more than 26 thousand people and obtained the awards for Best Local Indie Band, delivered by Las Vegas Weekly; Best CD of 2011, from Las Vegas SEVEN; Vegas Music Summit Headliner, 2010; and Newest Must See Live Act, delivered by Las Vegas CityLife.
